We are well-known not only for our promotional projects, but also for launching TV shows!
In 2018 the Food Network channel broadcasted “Pilgrim with a Ladle”, a show that we produced. It told a story about a successful city resident who had grown tired of the metropolitan hustle whose search for peace and quiet led him to the gates of a monastery. Episode to episode the “pilgrim with a ladle” gets acquainted with his new lifestyle and the traditions of Russian cuisine.

The show was hosted by Alexander Kovalev, a familiar face to the Russian TV audience. “Pilgrim with a Ladle” was filmed on the premises of the Nikolo-Solbynskiy convent where a special pavilion was erected for the needs of the production. In each episode the viewer sees Alexander preparing a simple, yet original dish, beautifully served according to Russian culinary tradition using local dairy produce as well as vegetables from the convent gardens. The show’s content was not limited to interesting recipes, which are expected from a cooking show, but also told a wholesome story and portrayed an authentic atmosphere.

“This show is an important stage of my life, since it conveys what I personally felt and experienced. The script is nothing else but my own story, albeit with a few dramatizations. Once, during my travels in the Yaroslavl region, I encountered the matrons and sisters of the Nikolo-Solbynskiy convent and a few years later we decided to open a culinary school for its wards. Soon after came the idea for the TV show, a good-natured and soulful one. I think that modern TV does little to offer good-hearted content, yet the audience is yearning for it. I hope they will enjoy our creation”, explains Alexander Kovalev.
