The goal was to come up with a concept to promote the “Alien” film franchise, featured on the TV1000 Action Viasat channel on the Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia. The idea was to play on the dichotomy of Native (defender) – Alien (threat). Rights were acquired for the song by the band “Gosti iz Budushego” (Guests from the Future). Thanks to the interest to the “Alien” franchise and a low-cost advertisement campaign, which included promos on the channel, cross-promotion on the TV1000 and TV1000 Russian cinema channels, social media engagement campaigns and promotion on Yandex.Zen and Kino-Teatr.Ru platforms, viewer ratings on February 22 and February 23 were up 49% and 130% respectively, and the number of viewers in the mentioned days broke monthly records.
